How to create a Trackmania Nation Dedicated Server


This guide will help walk you through the basic of creating a TMN Dedicated server.

Ok there are quite a few tools, plugsin methods etc... to create a tmn server. The way I will list here is an fairly easy way using GUI interfaces as much as possible. For a basic tmn server you can use step 1-3.

Requirements:
Computer
Windows Xp with .net 2.0
PHP 5
mysql
a seperate TMN account(not your racing account)
(Note: this guide will not instruct you how to install or config either mysql or php)

1. Download and unzip TMDedicatedServer. Click Here

2. Download and install ServerMania Click Here

3. Run servermania. From here click on the "Server List" tab then click add to create a new server enter all the details under general, ensure ur server directory is showing the path to where u unziped tmdedicatedserver. On the network tab ensure u click "internet server", game type TMN and input the seperate tmn account details. Depending on you local network setup you may also need to input a IP address but automatic is normally ok. Then Click connect.

That's it this will give you a basic TMN server, use the servermania gui to start your server add/remove tracks, set game type,duration etc...

This basic setup won't save any records, allow track additions by races, karma etc... for these you will need to use some plugins.
